Saw the replay of ALMS Baltimore, major props to the #3 Vette for winning with a broken fender and front bumper. Also, let's not go to Baltimore anymore, that chicane near the tracks is horrible.

Made for a fun race to watch, though it would have been better if almost half the field wasn't knocked out before the race start.

I am not a fan of street courses, but Baltimore is changing that.
That chicane is just part of racing. They (drivers) have to deal with it.

How is 6 half of 32? Do you bitch if 4 cars get taken out in one accident in F1? It's a shame it took so long to clean up, but that's racing. The chicane could certainly be improved, but that's something to fix for next year.

I think Long Beach is a better street course than Baltimore. Or when ALMS used to run St. Petersburg or Reliant Park (although Indy is planning a return there this year so there's hope for endurance racing in the future).

Haha. I wasn't complaining about it, and actually I love watching sports car racing because of the carnage that can take place. Maybe it was the shots they were showing on tv, but it really looked like there were only about 12 cars on track during the race. I thought it was a great race though.
And I never complain when there is wrecks in F1, even if my favorite drivers are involved.

Long Beach is a better circuit but Baltimore is more intense and old school. I like both but there's something about the batshit insanity of Baltimore that I truly love, especially in the modern era of more sanitized racing and Tilke tracks.
The chicane is there to prevent cars from launching over a paved-over railroad crossing. Before the chicane, cars were getting airborne on that straight and it was much worse.

Half the GT class got taken out, I think 5 out of 11 GT cars.
